Athletic Update 9

What a great week to be a Brave!
Boys’ Soccer won the Westview Regional! This is the first time in our school history that a boys’ soccer team has advanced this far in the IHSAA tournament. The Braves defeated Bishop Luers 3-1 and Westview 2-0 to advance to Semi-State. BCS will face Guerin Catholic at Newton Park in Lakeville, IN on Saturday, October 25. The game time is set for 12:00 noon. If the boys advance, the championship will be played the same night at 7:00 pm. Tickets are $7 for a single session or $10 for both games. Thursday October 23rd:
Game 1- Elkhart Christian vs Hamilton- 6:00 pm
Game 2- BCS vs Lakewood Park- 7:30 pm
Saturday October 25th:
Game 3- Winner Game 1 vs Winner Game 2- 11:00 am
Game 4- Lakeland Christian vs Bethany Christian- 1:00 pm
Winner Game 3 vs Winner Game 4- Championship- 7:00 pm
Cross Country Regionals were held Saturday at West Noble. Jon Roth finished in 23rd place at a tough regional, which was just shy of making it on to Semi-State.  Great season Jon!
The King’s Crusaders Football team, which has some BCS student players, had a tough weekend.
Junior High lost to the Indianapolis Lions 0-38.
High School lost to the Indianapolis Lions 6-34.
The winter season is just around the corner.  High School girls’ basketball will begin one week from today on October 27th. Girls interested should contact Coach Hoffman at to get on the email list for practice times and information.
High school boys’ basketball officially begins on November 10th with their first practice. Boys interested in basketball should contact Coach Davidson at
Junior high boys’ and girls’ basketball will be starting in two weeks. November 3rd is the start date for practices. Information will be sent home soon.
Physicals are required for all athletes in grades 6-12.  A physical must be on file to participate.
